RoleThe Trusts & Estates Team at Harris Beach Murtha is looking for a Practice Manager who brings both paralegal depth and a people‑first mindset. You’ll support attorneys and staff across multiple offices, oversee workflow and training, and keep the practice group running smoothly. You will thrive in this role if you have:
- 10+ years of paralegal experience, including 4+ in trusts & estates (required)
- Strong knowledge of estate planning, trust administration, probate, and related legal processes
- A collaborative, solutions‑oriented approach and a desire to mentor others
- Experience supervising or managing legal support staff
- Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and relevant legal tech tools
- Lead and mentor a team of paralegals, practice coordinators, and admin professionals across offices
- Serve as a liaison between attorneys and staff to support efficient operations
- Provide training and onboarding support to new hires (attorneys and staff alike)
- Oversee workflow, monitor caseloads, and ensure quality work product across the team
- Manage client portfolios and maintain a caseload of billable paralegal work (30%)
