Associate Attorney; Connecticut

A well-established, mid-sized civil litigation defense firm with a national footprint is seeking an experienced Mid-Level Litigation Attorney to join its Hartford office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience handling complex civil litigation matters, preferably in insurance defense.

• Independently handle all phases of litigation, including depositions, discovery, motion practice, court appearances, and trials.
• Draft a wide range of legal documents including pleadings, dispositive motions, and appellate briefs.
• Provide strategic advice to clients and manage expectations throughout the litigation process.
• Represent clients in state and federal courts, as well as alternative dispute resolution forums.
• Collaborate with senior partners and clients on case assessments and litigation strategies.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Connecticut is required.
• Admission in Massachusetts or UBE eligibility is a strong plus.
• At least 5 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in defense of insureds, employers, or corporations.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex cases from start to finish.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, legal research proficiency, and courtroom presence.
