Duties- As a Civil Litigation Associate Attorney, your role will be dynamic and engaging.
- Will independently manage your own caseload from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery while meeting all deadlines.
- Responsibilities include preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, and trials, offering valuable courtroom exposure.
- Collaboration is central to the role. You will work closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to develop effective litigation strategies, provide regular status updates and written reports, and conduct thorough legal research and drafting of memoranda.
- Working alongside experienced partners and senior attorneys, you'll contribute to efficient case management in a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA‑accredited law school
- Admission to the Connecticut State Bar or eligibility through an adequate UBE score
- 3-8 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or a closely related practice area
- Clerkship experience is a plus
- Strong experience drafting and arguing dispositive motions
- Excellent legal research, writing, and discovery skills
- Experience assisting with mediations, arbitrations, trials, and hearings
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
