Fleet Management System Manager – Hartford Health Care

Location:

Responsibilities
  • Systemwide Fleet Management Leadership
  • Supervise Regional Fleet Coordinators (regional fleet coordinators will have matrix reporting to the System Manager, Fleet Management)
  • Monitor team productivity to ensure efficient fleet operations across the organization
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and excellence within the fleet team
  • Develop and implement fleet strategies that align with the health system’s operational objectives
  • Monitor fleet performance metrics and lead initiatives to improve utilization, reduce costs, and enhance service quality
  • Ensure consistency in fleet operations across all departments and locations
  • Prepare and present regular reports on fleet performance, safety metrics, and financial status
  • Oversee compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations
  • Conduct audits of fleet operations to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring adherence to safety protocols
  • Manage incident reporting and resolution, including accident investigations and preventive measures
  • Act as the primary liaison between the fleet team and other departments, ensuring alignment with organizational needs
  • Collaborate with logistics, facilities, and clinical teams to support patient care and operational objectives
  • Engage with external vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and maintain high service standards
  • Fleet emergency preparedness and readiness
  • Develop and oversee emergency response plans for fleet operations, ensuring readiness during crises
  • Coordinate fleet activities to support critical healthcare services during emergencies or disasters
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Experience:

    3–5+ years in fleet management or logistics, including a supervisory or leadership role
  • Healthcare leadership role within a health system preferred
