Position: Salesperson/Store Driver  Store 5927

Salesperson

Entry‑level sales position supporting the DIY business at a retail automotive store. The role requires basic automotive knowledge, strong inventory and store system skills, and the ability to source parts from multiple suppliers. Full‑time or part‑time positions are available. Fleet safety certification is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide an excellent selling experience during customer visits and phone calls.
  • Achieve personal sales goals and help the store meet its sales targets.
  • Provide DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper blade installs, and other customer requests.
  • Maintain store product presentation and operational standards.
  • Perform inventory processes including truck put‑away, ship‑outs, cycle counts, back‑stock, and other store requirements.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot.
  • Assist with general stocking including truck stocking and back‑stock.
  • Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
Success Factors
  • Basic driving and navigation ability.
  • Ability to use delivery board system.
  • Friendly communication and customer orientation.
  • Ability to locate and stock parts quickly.
  • Safety knowledge and work‑site skills.
  • Proficiency operating inventory systems and store equipment.

  • Proficiency operating POS and parts lookup systems.
  • Expertise using testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY services.
Essential

Job Skills
  • Speak and write English (Spanish a plus). Build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
  • Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Prior Experience

2–3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences.

Store Driver

Entry‑level store position responsible for delivering parts to commercial customers and assisting with task and inventory processes in the store. Full‑time or part‑time positions are available. Must be fleet safety certified.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Safely deliver parts to customers as needed.
  • Pick and stage parts for customer orders.
  • Pick up returns and cores.
  • Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers.
  • Perform daily collection of credit accounts.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and parking lot.
  • Assist with general stocking including truck stocking and back‑stock.
Success Factors
  • Basic driving and navigation ability.
  • Ability to use delivery board system.
  • Friendly communication and customer orientation.
  • Ability to locate and stock parts quickly.
  • Safety knowledge and work‑site skills.

Physical Demands

Predominantly walking or standing. Requires use of hands and fingers to handle, reach, climb, and balance. Frequently lifts or moves up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifts or moves up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
