Position: Inspired Closets Sales & Design Consultant

We are looking for a talented and experienced salesperson with an eye for design to join our incredible team!

The Inspired Closets Sales & Design Consultant is an expert in custom space design and has a vast knowledge of all of our storage and organization solutions and products sold within our portfolio. This role will pioneer our brand presence in Connecticut and parts of Rhode Island by selling our services to prospective new clients, working closely with them to develop the perfect storage solutions to meet their needs.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN INSPIRED CLOSETS SALES AND DESIGN CONSULTANT

As an Inspired Closets Sales and Design Consultant, you are the face of our company. You come to work ready to make connections with prospective customers. As you interact with them, you share your extensive knowledge about our products and services and offer them valuable solutions. Always honest and accurate, you offer quotes and assessments on how our company can make a positive difference in their homes and businesses.

Additionally, you proactively seek new contacts, either from leads generated by our company or through your own networking to increase brand awareness and drive revenue. You are conscious of meeting sales goals and are particular about keeping records.

Maintaining relationships with existing clients is also important. On a regular basis, you spend time with installation crews in order to ensure the quality customer service we seek to provide. Because of your impeccable integrity and professional demeanor, clients are happy to give you referrals. Helping clients brings you great satisfaction. Plus, it is rewarding to see your hard work pay off in your paycheck!

While this role includes a significant design component, make no mistake: this is a true sales position. We are looking for a closer who uses design as their primary tool to solve client problems. Do you consider yourself a sales professional? If so, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Drive revenue by selling and designing high‑end, functional, and aesthetically appealing storage solutions specific to client needs.
  • Develops and manages accounts through prospecting and networking of leads
  • Identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities within new and existing accounts.
  • Take full ownership of the sales process from initial contact to contract and project handoff
  • Provides innovative solutions and products to new and current clients
  • Educates homeowners on the industry and maintains understanding of contracts and pricing structures
  • Maintains strong relationships with existing customers and trade partners to drive repeat business and a robust referral network
  • Hits weekly/monthly activity and sales goals and track records consistently in CRM software
Qualifications
  • 2‑5 years of outside sales experience preferred, in‑home sales experience required
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to negotiate
  • Knowledge and passion for following trends in custom storage solutions industry
  • Possess excellent prospecting, presentation and networking skills
  • Demonstrates experience in self‑sourcing leads through networking, referrals, and community engagement
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Adept at using technology to communicate and sell
  • Ability to use natural closing skills to transform leads into sales
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and a good driving record
  • Willing to undergo a criminal background check in compliance with regulations
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required. We hire people, not degrees
  • Experience in design is a plus, passion for design is a must
Compensation

$52,000 annual draw against commission. This role features a highly competitive,
uncapped commission structure with unlimited earning potential
