The Environmental Analyst 1 position within the Connecticut Department of Housing's Architectural and Technical Services unit reviews housing development applications, documentation, and plans. This is a full-time, 40-hour hybrid role based in Hartford, requiring technical analysis and interpretation of environmental program data to support departmental planning and policy implementation.
- Five years of experience in technical analysis and interpretation of environmental program data or planning and implementing environmental programs
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, statutes, regulations, and policies pertaining to environmental protection
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to interpret technical data
- Experience reading and interpreting analytical data, drawings, plans, specifications, and maps
- Experience researching environmental topics and preparing technical reports
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical discipline related to environmental field (biology, earth sciences, environmental planning, etc.) may substitute for general experience
