AV Service Technician

We are looking for an experienced AV Service Technician to support commercial and enterprise customers. This is a great opportunity for someone already working in AV service or an experienced AV installation technician who wants to transition into a service-focused position.

The right person will have strong troubleshooting skills, experience with Crestron and/or AMX systems , and be comfortable working directly with customers in professional environments.

• Troubleshoot and service commercial audio-visual systems
• Diagnose issues with Crestron DM, Crestron NVX, and AMX systems
• Service AV systems in conference rooms, boardrooms, and meeting spaces
• Troubleshoot video conferencing systems
• Work with AV over IP (AVoIP) systems
• Troubleshoot audio systems including DSPs, amplifiers, speakers, and microphones
• Service displays, projectors, video walls, and digital signage
• Use a multimeter and other tools to trace wiring and connection issues
• Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections
• Complete service reports and document work performed
• Work directly with customers to resolve AV issues
• Assist and mentor less-experienced technicians when needed

• 3+ years of professional AV experience
• Strong AV troubleshooting and service experience
• Experience with Crestron and/or AMX
• Experience with commercial AV systems, conference rooms, or video conferencing
• Comfortable troubleshooting Cat6, audio, video, and control systems
• Ability to read system drawings and trace signal flow
• Experience using a multimeter and basic hand tools
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• CTS certification is a plus, but not required
• Technical degree or equivalent hands‑on experience preferred

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Ability to work on ladders
• Ability to kneel, crouch, and work in tighter spaces when necessary

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced AV technician who enjoys troubleshooting more than doing repetitive installations . You'll work on a variety of commercial AV technologies and customer environments while building deeper experience with advanced AV systems.

This is a Contract position based out of Hartford, CT.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $53.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
