Senior Salesforce Developer

Hartford, CT – Hybrid only for local candidates. One‑year contract. The agency prefers candidates with prior experience working for State Government clients.

Applicants must be local to Connecticut and be able to come into the office 2 days every 2 weeks or 1 day per week. Candidates with references will receive priority.

The agency needs a senior level full‑stack developer to work on existing custom Salesforce applications and in the SDLC process of the new CT‑KIND system. The role involves requirements verification, design, development, testing, maintenance, and support activities as directed by agency management.

The developer will:

• Participate in various SDLC processes for Salesforce solutions.
• Support existing custom Salesforce applications and lead development of new modules for CT‑KIND.
• Work with the System Integrator to ensure knowledge transfer and ongoing maintenance.
• Write Apex, Lightning components, Visualforce pages, and configure Salesforce tools.
• Maintain technical documentation throughout all phases of SDLC.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to provide analysis and requirements for application integration.

• Must be very organized, pro‑active and self‑directed.
• Must be a self‑starter, driven, and drive work from requirements to implementation.
• Must have strong abstract thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

In addition to the State contract requirements, the candidate should have:

• Minimum 5 years of Salesforce development experience, including Apex OOP and design patterns.
• 10+ years of overall IT professional experience with proven judgment, mentorship, and creativity.
• Experience with .NET OOP and SOA.
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (preferred).
• Proficiency in SQL and end‑to‑end web development.
