Job SummaryThe Java Batch Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust batch processing systems that support enterprise applications, particularly in the policy administration integration domain. The role requires expertise in Spring Batch and Java-based backend development. A knack for implementing full-stack solutions using modern digital technologies is a plus. Familiarity with AWS cloud services and EKS is highly desirable to support scalable and cloud-native batch solutions.
The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and high-performance data processing.
- Design, develop, and maintain batch processing applications using Java, Node Js and Spring Batch.
- Integrate batch jobs with enterprise systems, including policy administration platforms and data warehouses.
- Optimize performance of batch jobs for large-scale data processing and scheduling.
- Leverage AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, RDS, EKS) to build scalable and cloud-native batch solutions.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for batch processes.
- Collaborate with Dev Ops teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments.
- Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
- Maintain technical documentation for batch processes and system integrations.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in batch processing and cloud technologies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills And Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in Java/full-stack development with at least 1 year in Spring Batch/Node Js related technologies.
- Strong understanding of batch processing patterns, transaction management, and job scheduling.
- Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, RDS, Step Functions, and preferably EKS.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Postgre
SQL, SQL Server). - Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI, AWS Code Pipeline).
- Understanding of secure coding practices and data privacy standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Nassau maintains a holistic compensation philosophy focused on competitive base salaries, performance driven incentives, and unique professional development opportunities. The base salary for this position falls within the range of $90,000-$125,000 depending upon experience.
