Role DescriptionThis is an on‑site, part‑time role for an Electrical 1 Instructor based in Hartford, VT. The instructor will deliver high‑quality training in electrical systems, emphasizing safety, maintenance, and operations. Responsibilities include designing and implementing curriculum, teaching foundational and advanced concepts of electricity, ensuring students gain practical skills and industry‑relevant knowledge, mentoring students, and preparing them for success in the electrical field.
Classes are taught Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 5‑8 pm and Saturday 8‑1 pm for 12 weeks.
- Design and implement curriculum for Electrical 1 courses.
- Teach foundational and advanced concepts of electricity.
- Ensure students gain practical skills and industry‑relevant knowledge.
- Mentor students and prepare them for success in the electrical field.
- Manage classroom operations and maintain safety standards.
- Expertise in Electrical Safety and Electrical Maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of Electricity principles and systems.
- Experience in Training and Curriculum Development.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students in a hands‑on learning environment.
- Familiarity with industry standards and practices in the electrical field.
- Industry certification or licensure in electrical systems is preferred.
- Previous teaching experience in a career and technical education environment is a plus.
