Construo Recruitment is working in partnership with a construction business to recruit a Quantity Surveyor on a part‑time contract basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to support the financial management of construction projects, ensuring strong cost control and commercial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

The successful candidate will play a key role in budgeting, valuations, reporting, and procurement while supporting the successful delivery of live schemes.

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and project budgets in line with specifications and client requirements
• Monitor project expenditure and identify potential cost overruns early
• Carry out measurements and valuations of completed works for payment purposes
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and clients to negotiate costs and procurement strategies
• Prepare tender documentation, review bids, and recommend suitable contractors or suppliers
• Maintain accurate records of project‑related financial transactions
• Produce regular cost reports, forecasts, and updates for stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, legal requirements, and health & safety standards

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
• Strong understanding of cost control and commercial management principles
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Proficiency in industry‑standard software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Capable of working to deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

• Salary of £18,000 – £20,000
• Part‑time role (16 hours per week)
