Rock and Pop Music Teacher – Hartlepool

Experience: No teaching experience required – full training, support and development provided.
Transport: UK/EU driving licence and own transport are essential.
Holiday: 11 + weeks paid holiday per year
Location: Teach in multiple schools across a regional area each week.
Fuel: Fuel contributions in addition to salary.
Responsibilities- Teach primary‑age children in a fun, inspiring rock and pop band format in up to 10 schools per week.
- Give children their first opportunity to learn an instrument – drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals.
- Work independently as part of a remote team of band leaders, with support from central teams.
- Be a rock and pop star role‑model, empowering and supporting children to deliver live performances at end‑of‑term concerts.
- Help children develop self‑belief, resilience and wellbeing through performing in a band.
- Represent Rocksteady, building strong relationships with schools, teachers and parents.
- Prepare for highly active days and spend time on the road driving between schools, loading and unloading equipment, and setting up and packing away in each location.
- Be competent on at least two of the following instruments: drums, guitar, bass, keyboard, vocals.
- Enthusiastic to learn how to teach band lessons and complete our extensive training programme before starting a timetable.
- Resilient to work in a role that provides both great moments and big challenges daily.
- Confident, authentic and communicates well with children, teachers and parents.
- Integrity to always promote the safety and well‑being of children and young people.
- Organised, independent worker with good time management and administration skills.
- Hold a UK/EU driving licence and have own transport to move equipment between schools.
- Full‑time, salaried position.
- Work Monday – Friday, daytimes only.
- 11+ weeks paid holiday per year.
- Fuel contribution – 45p per business mile.
- Annual staff bonus – £1,500 per annum.
