EYFS Early Years Teaching Assistant - Hartlepool

Milk Education is working with a number of welcoming and supportive Primary Schools across Hartlepool and the surrounding areas and is looking to recruit caring, enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Early Years Teaching Assistants to join schools from September 2026.

Whether you're an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant, a Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant, or have recent experience supporting children within an EYFS setting, we'd love to hear from you. We have a range of long‑term, full‑time opportunities available, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

You’ll play a vital role in supporting children’s learning and development, helping to create a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where every child can thrive and achieve their full potential.

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative learning activities in line with the EYFS Framework.
• Encourage children’s learning through play, exploration, and structured activities.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
• Support children’s social, emotional, and educational development.
• Assist with observing, recording, and monitoring children’s progress.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
• Support children with additional learning needs where required.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage independence.
• Assist with personal care where necessary.

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification is desirable.
• Previous experience working within an EYFS or Nursery setting.
• Good understanding of the EYFS Framework.
• A caring, patient, and nurturing approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Passion for supporting children during the early stages of their education.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
