Teaching Assistant Apprentice Wingate Primary School National Apprentice Minimum Wage To start September 2026 Fixed term contract

Are you passionate about working with young children and looking to begin a rewarding career in education? We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team on a fixed term basis as a Teaching Assistant Apprentice at Wingate Primary School.

As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced professionals to support children's learning, development, and care. You will help create a safe, stimulating environment where children can thrive, assisting with classroom activities, promoting reading, language, and number skills, and encouraging positive behaviour. You will play a key role in helping children reach their potential while gaining valuable hands-on experience and working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with children. This is a unique opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive environment, making a real difference in children's lives.

Connect Multi-Academy Trust is legally obligated to process a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check before making appointments to relevant posts. The DBS check will reveal both spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and bind-overs as well as pending prosecutions, which aren't 'protected' under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and check to establish that a person is not barred from 'regulated activity' as defined by the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006.

Please note that we operate a probationary period of 4 months across all jobs in the Trust (see attached policy for further details). You will receive a comprehensive induction to support you to successfully pass your probation.
