Engineering Manager

Position: Engineering Manager (Permanent)
Engineering Manager - Hartlepool

The Role

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will:

* Manage delivery of planned maintenance and reactive repairs

* Lead and support multi skilled trades teams

* Ensure compliance with RAMS, company Health and Safety policy and engineering procedures

* Oversee asset reliability and lead RCA

* Take ownership of engineering schedules

* Support long term engineering projects & CI

* Liaise with operations and engineering management to prioritise workload

* Work with suppliers to ensure cost effective and quality components and equipment

Key Responsibilities

* Active involvement in risk assessments

* Effective use of asset management systems

* Monitor team performance and identify training and development needs

* Lead team communications and cross departmental collaboration

* Promote continuous improvement and engineering excellence

* Support ISO accreditation requirements

The role involves office based computer work alongside site interaction. Travel across the various North East UK sites will be required in line with operational plans, so the Engineering Manager must be able to drive.

Ideal Candidate

* HNC in Mechanical and or Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification

* Leadership and management certification

* IOSH Managing Safely

* Proven supervisory experience managing multi skilled engineering teams

* Experience in industrial engineering, steel, fabrication, marine, O&G sectors could all be transferable, with comfort dealing with old and new assets

* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office for reporting and analysis

* Excellent communication skills

* Strong organisational and analytical skills

* Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

* Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and motivate teams to meet objectives
