Wolviston Management Services are recruiting on behalf of Tioxide Materials Ltd for 4 Electrical & Instrument Engineers (E&I Engineers) to join their Engineering team at their manufacturing facility in Greatham, Hartlepool, please see details below;

Job Purpose:

The Electrical & Instrument Engineer provides technical electrical, instrumentation and control engineering support to maximise plant availability, improve reliability performance and support effective problem-solving across the manufacturing asset.
The role is responsible for specifying E&I repairs, supporting maintenance and outage activity, assessing engineering risks associated with modifications and contributing to continuous improvement, safety, compliance and long-term asset integrity.

Roles and Responsibilities:

◆ Technical Engineering Support:
Provide technical E&I engineering support to plant teams, taking an active role in troubleshooting, technical investigations and problem-solving activities to improve plant reliability and availability.
◆ Equipment Repair Specifications:
Complete detailed technical specifications for plant electrical equipment and instrument repairs, ensuring work is appropriately planned, approved and completed to the required engineering standard.
◆ Maintenance & Outage Support:
Support planned maintenance events and outages by providing E&I technical input, resolving emergent issues and specifying emergent work where required.
◆ Reliability Improvement:
Identify and implement reliability improvement opportunities, using current technologies and engineering best practice to improve capacity, reduce costs, enhance product quality and strengthen long-term asset performance.
◆ Safety &

Risk Management:

Provide E&I engineering input to safety reviews, safety committees, risk assessments and incident investigations, ensuring actions are completed effectively and engineering risks are appropriately managed.
◆ Asset Life Planning:
Maintain and update area E&I life plans, ensuring timely recommendations are made for capital replacement, repair or improvement of electrical, instrumentation and control assets.
◆ Management of Change:
Ensure plant modifications are subject to thorough E&I engineering assessment, with changes to technology, operating methods, maintenance methods, equipment or staffing evaluated to mitigate engineering risk.
◆ Engineering Standards & Culture:
Promote adherence to site engineering standards, a right-first-time approach and behaviours that support a positive values-based culture.

Experience and Qualifications:

Essential
 
Relevant degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Control Engineering or a related discipline.
Chartered Engineer status, or actively working towards Chartered status.
Minimum of 5 years' industry experience within an Upper Tier COMAH manufacturing, chemical or process environment.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical, instrumentation and control systems within a manufacturing or process plant setting.
Knowledge of relevant standards associated with SIL assessment and the management and maintenance of Safety Instrumented Systems.
Experience providing technical engineering support during plant troubleshooting, planned maintenance events, outages and emergent work.
Experience contributing to safety reviews, risk assessments, incident investigations and engineering change assessments.
Proven ability to analyse technical problems, identify root causes and implement effective corrective or improvement actions.
Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to mobilise technical contributors across Production, Engineering and Technical functions without necessarily having direct line management authority.  Desirable
 
Knowledge of MOD
300 and DeltaV DCS systems.
Experience acting as, or training towards, Management of Change and Inhibits signatory responsibilities.
Experience performing Duty E&I Manager responsibilities.
Experience leading cross-functional problem-solving teams within a manufacturing or process environment.
