  • Caseload Management: Manage complex cases including Children in Need, Child Protection, Looked After Children, and care proceedings.
  • Assessment: Undertake detailed assessments in line with statutory requirements and local procedures.

  • Court Work: Prepare evidence-based reports and represent the local authority in court and meetings.
  • Safeguarding: Lead safeguarding investigations and ensure children are protected from harm.
  • Practice Leadership: Mentor, coach, and support social workers and students to promote best practice.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in audits and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
  • Multi-Agency Working: Collaborate with partners across health, education, housing, and police.
