A global industrial technology company is seeking a visionary Head of Engineering to lead its engineering organization at a key manufacturing site in Fall River, USA.

This senior leadership role for an experienced engineering professional with deep expertise in fiber rope, textiles, and advanced manufacturing. You will be responsible for driving product innovation, process excellence, and global engineering collaboration while building and developing a high‑performing engineering organization.

As Head of Engineering, you will lead local Product/Application Engineering and Industrial Engineering teams (5+ engineers) and serve as a strategic partner to senior site leadership and the global technology organization. You will play a critical role in shaping product strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring world‑class engineering and manufacturing capabilities across an international footprint.

• Lead and develop local engineering teams across Product/Application and Industrial Engineering
• Act as a strategic partner to senior site leadership and global technology organization
• Align engineering objectives with product management and manufacturing strategy
• Collaborate proactively with international engineering teams across multiple global sites
• Drive innovation in products, materials, and technical processes with strong market focus
• Manage engineering budgets, resources, and external vendors
• Own and continuously improve engineering processes (e.g. product development, equipment specification)
• Ensure full compliance with national and international regulations and standards
• Build strong networks with customers, partners, notified bodies, and suppliers
• Represent the company in standardization committees and industry associations
• Support purchasing in raw material specification and qualification
• Support manufacturing in capital investment projects, equipment upgrades, and modernization initiatives

• Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Textile Engineering

• 5+ years of experience in the rope industry
• Strong background in textiles and textile manufacturing
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams
• Experience leading international teams on both functional and disciplinary levels
• Strategic mindset with strong business and market orientation
• Innovative and forward‑thinking leadership style
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• High level of accountability and ownership
• Resilient, adaptable, and results‑driven

• German is a plus
