Patient Access Associate (PRN; Days) – West Jefferson Medical Center

We are seeking a Patient Access Associate to join our Manhattan Family Medicine Clinic team. This role is part‑time, PRN, Day schedule and focuses on patient registration, scheduling, and financial responsibilities.

• Greets patients, guests, and family members.
• Schedules appointments with appropriate providers and locations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Determines if a patient account already exists to avoid duplicate records.
• Creates patient accounts for all visiting patients, including walk‑in, non‑scheduled, and emergency services per registration policy.
• Registers patients by entering accurate demographic, financial class, and insurance information; revises errors immediately.
• Activates scheduled patient accounts set up for the patient per registration policy.
• Resolves work‑queue errors accurately and timely.
• Collects patient copayments and residual payments at point of service.
• Provides information on financial assistance programs or refers patients to financial counselors as needed.
• Balances cash drawer daily and prepares cash reports at shift end when applicable.
• Responds to inbound calls and transfers calls to appropriate areas.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent OR 2 years of work experience.
• Strong attention to detail, customer service orientation, and ability to work independently.
• Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) and registration systems.
