Foreman, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

Position: Shipyard Foreman
Job Location: Reserve, LA
Hutco Branch: Harvey, LA
Rate of Pay: $30.00 to $32.00 per hour based on experience (time and a half for overtime after 40 hours)

Hutco Inc. is seeking a shipyard repair Foreman for a yard in Reserve, LA. Experience is required. Must have knowledge of removing wheel shafts, rudders, and coolers, and be able to manage a minimum crew of 10 people.

NO TWIC card required. NO per diem is available. Long-term work.

Oversees day-to-day repairs of marine vessels in the yard. Instructs personnel on procedures and repairs to be accomplished on each job. Complies with written repair specifications. Logs time cards for each employee, ensuring the correct job number and phases for each. Effectively utilizes equipment and personnel in order to keep the barge maintenance schedule on track. Maintains a safety watch over all aspects of yard jobs.

Ability to operate various pieces of equipment and machinery. Controls expendable and consumable items used during repairs.
