As the "face of Airgas," the Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company-provided straight or box truck. The Delivery Driver loads, unloads, delivers, and returns compressed gas cylinders while frequently interacting with Airgas customers.

As a Delivery Driver at Airgas, you will be a part of a professional team that encourages internal mobility while offering our employees a work/life balance.

• Cylinder Handling: Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations.
• Record Keeping: Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt. Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA.
• Warehouse Support: Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License, and Medical Card.
• Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications.
• Must have one (1) year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five (5) years and a clean driving record to include no more than two (2) convictions, OR two (2) at-fault accidents in the last three years; OR no more than a combination of one (1) conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last three years.
• In lieu of experience, may consider accepting a diploma from an accredited driving school and a minimum of one (1) year of prior driving experience within the last five (5) years.
• Must be at least 21 years or older.
• Ability to routinely lift 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.
• Must be able to obtain a forklift operator certification.

• Lifting & Transporting:
  Regularly transport and move objects up to 60 lbs. Occasionally move loads up to 800 lbs. using material handling equipment.
• Mobility & Activity:
  Sit for extended periods while driving. Frequently walk through various company and customer locations. Perform repetitive motions necessary for product delivery, including entering and exiting a vehicle.

  Actively listen and verbally exchange information with customers and colleagues.
