PT Pharmacist - Pharmacy - 0475
Stop & Shop – Harwich, MA, USA-MA-Harwich-Rt 39 and Rt 137
Job Type: Part-time
Pay range: $66–71 per hour
Essential Job Functions- Process prescriptions accurately or supervise others to comply with current laws, ethical standards and Company policies.
- Provide outstanding customer service and patient counseling in prescriptions, OTC medications and evolving health care needs.
- Act as liaison between the store, healthcare professionals, patients and law enforcement.
- Comply with state and Federal laws pertaining to pharmacy practices and Company standards of practice.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and company information.
- Meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Promote and participate in initiatives to grow the pharmacy business as required.
- Serve as the Supervising Pharmacist (SP) as required, ensuring regulatory compliance with Federal and state pharmacy laws.
- Participate in the financial performance of the department, including sales growth, inventory control, payroll and expenses.
- Understand and enforce Pharmacy Policies and Procedures, communicating standards to other personnel.
- Oversee daily office operations of the pharmacy department.
- Perform immunizations according to Company standards.
- Ensure all personnel provide outstanding customer service.
- Participate in training and development of pharmacy technicians and support staff.
- Adhere to Company safety standards and maintain a clean work area.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with Store Manager, Pharmacy Operations Manager and local health care providers.
- Maintain confidential communications with pharmacy staff.
- Foster a positive environment to retain associates and customers.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Successful completion of criminal background check and drug testing.
- Current license in good standing in the applicable state(s).
- Current and active immunizing pharmacist certification.
- Current Basic Life Support certificate.
- Complete knowledge of state and Federal laws pertaining to pharmacy practices.
- Motivated, caring professional with strong interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and provide direction to associates.
- High levels of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Authorization to fill Medicare and Medicaid prescriptions.
- Accurate and efficient typing skills.
- Stand 100% of the time with occasional walking short distances.
- Use of computer screen/keyboard/mouse/biometric scanner continuously.
- Use hands to frequently handle a variety of container sizes and manipulate individual pills or capsules.
- Clerical accuracy and mathematical skills; ability to use a cash register.
- Use staplers, calculators, communication and computer systems frequently.
- Frequently reach, grasp, lift and carry up to 20 lb.
- Bend at knees and waist repetitively up to 30% of the work day.
- Work a schedule that varies from up to 12 hours a day and up to 5 days a week.
- Have sufficient visual acuity and audio capability to process prescriptions and service customers by phone and in person.
