Job Description & How to Apply Below

Meyer Landscapes is a growing landscape and hardscape company that believes great work starts with great people. We take pride in doing things the right way—from how we build landscapes to how we treat our team and our clients. We are known for high-quality craftsmanship, clean jobsites, and strong teamwork.

Our mission is grow great people and build a team of leaders—not just labor. Our vision is to become the best place to work in the landscape industry by investing in leadership, accountability, and continuous growth.

We’re looking for a Hardscape Construction Manager who wants more than a job—someone who wants to build exceptional projects, lead by example in the field, and grow into a key leader within our company.

This is a hands‑on, in-the‑field leadership role for someone who enjoys building great projects, developing people, and taking ownership of results.

Why This Role Exists

As Meyer Landscapes continues to grow, this role exists to ensure our construction projects are run with consistency, professionalism, and pride—while developing future leaders from within.

The Hardscape Construction Manager is critical to bridging craftsmanship and leadership. You are responsible not only for building high‑end residential landscapes, but for setting the tone on job sites, developing your crew, and upholding the standards that define our company.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Hardscape Construction Manager, you’ll lead landscape construction and hardscape projects from start to finish on higher‑end residential properties. Projects include patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps and stairs, cobble edging, grading, lawns, and plantings.

You will:

  • Lead and work alongside a hardscape construction crew in the field
  • Set the standard for quality, craftsmanship, safety, and professionalism
  • Keep jobsites clean, organized, and respectful of clients’ properties
  • Plan projects before they start by reviewing plans, materials, equipment, and labor needs
  • Assist with estimating and pre‑construction planning to keep projects on track and profitable
  • Operate equipment such as skid steers, excavators, dump trucks, and related attachments
  • Communicate clearly with homeowners, crew members, and company leadership
  • Hold yourself and your crew accountable to company systems and expectations
What Success Looks Like (6–12 Months In)

By your first year, success in this role means:

  • Projects are running efficiently, safely, and on schedule
  • Your job sites consistently meet company standards for quality and cleanliness
  • Crew members respect your leadership and understand expectations
  • You proactively solve problems before they impact the project or client
  • You contribute to pre‑planning and estimating with confidence
  • You are trusted to run projects with minimal oversight

At this stage, you are not just managing work—you are owning outcomes and helping elevate the people around you.

Who We’re Looking For

You’ll be a great fit if you:

  • Enjoy leading/training crews and being hands‑on in the field
  • Have extensive experience in hardscape implementation
  • Take pride in high‑quality workmanship and attention to detail
  • Plan ahead and solve problems before they slow a project down
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members
  • Want to grow into a higher‑level leadership role over time

This role is ideal for someone who sees leadership as responsibility—not authority.

  • 8 plus years of installation experience in landscape masonry and hardscape projects
  • Strong knowledge of hardscape systems, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, veneer work, fire pits, steps, drainage, cobble edging and aprons
  • Ability to read and understand landscape plans and full project scope
  • Extensive equipment experience (skid steers, excavators, dump trucks, attachments)
  • Experience assisting with estimating or pre‑construction planning is a plus
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and transportation
Our Core Values

At Meyer Landscapes, how we work matters just as much as what we build. We look for people who live these values every day:

Why You’ll Like Working Here

We believe in taking care of our people and creating a place where effort, accountability, and growth are recognized.

We offer:

  • Competitive salary based on experience and performance
  • Paid vacation and sick time
  • Real opportunity for advancement as the company continues to grow
  • Leadership that is invested in your development—not just production

If you want to build a career, develop others, and be part of a company that values people as much as performance, this role offers that opportunity.
