Concrete Dispatcher - Torrington

O&G Industries, Inc., an innovative and diversified construction company based out of Torrington, CT, is seeking a Concrete Dispatcher to join our team at our Bogue Road location. We are a highly respected leader in our field and ranked as one of the top construction firms in the Northeast.

The ideal Dispatcher has experience scheduling and organizing large numbers of people and trucks efficiently to best serve the customer. Dispatching is like chess; you need to know how each piece moves in order to be successful. Like a game, knowing what comes next is key to keeping our concrete operation running efficiently so we can take good care of our customers.

• Knowledge and skill to schedule and track daily deliveries efficiently and safely.
• Work closely with customers, drivers, and batch plant operators.
• Flexible and cooperative to ensure delivery schedules are met.
• In-take of customer orders and calculation of concrete yardage and pricing.
• Schedule and prioritize loading of ready‑mix trucks with customers’ orders, give clear route instructions to drivers, and instruct drivers of delivery requirements and job site conditions.

• Demonstrated organizational and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a busy environment.
• Enjoys working closely with others.
• Reliable and willing to work early hours.
• Previous experience in the ready‑mix industry and/or as a dispatcher is preferred.
