After School Club Childcare Assistant - Haslemere, Surrey (GU27)

KOOSA Kids are seeking an After School Club Childcare Playwork Assistant at Shottermill Junior School in Haslemere, Surrey (GU27). This is a part-time, term-time only role to support after-school activities for children aged 4-11.

Our After School Club Childcare Playwork Assistants work alongside the After School Club Manager and other staff to ensure the safe, engaging and well-organised running of the club, delivering a range of playwork activities.

• Actively assist the After School Club Manager in the safe and organised running of the After School Club at Shottermill Junior School, Haslemere (GU27).
• Set up, organise and deliver a range of activities daily and pro-actively encourage children to participate.
• Assist in the preparation, serving and tidying away of snacks.
• Be aware of and sensitive to children with additional needs (physical, behavioural, dietary).
• Develop strong relationships with all children to ensure they have as much FUN as possible at the club.
• Develop an understanding of Ofsted standards and KOOSA Kids internal policies & safeguarding procedures.
• Ensure activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day.

• Passion or interest in working in childcare, early years or playwork.
• Fun and energetic nature.
• Reliable with strong communication skills with colleagues and children.
• Ability to relate to and engage with children aged 4-11 years.
• Opportunities to gain qualifications and grow with the company; full training and inductions provided.

This role may suit someone with experience in a Primary School, Pre-School or Nursery (e.g., Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator) or someone looking to move into childcare.

Monday – Friday, 2:45pm – 6:00pm, term-time only.
