Surrey Integrated Stroke Service

The Royal Surrey County Hospital has developed a new approach for stroke care in Surrey by working in partnership with a neighboring Trust.

The patients will be nursed on a Stroke Unit with Stroke beds and early rehabilitation beds before discharge home with the support of the Community Stroke team or for discharge to a specialist rehab unit if required.

The patients will be reviewed by a stroke Consultant.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 6 Junior Sister to join our friendly, motivated, highly effective and passionate multi-disciplinary team to help deliver a very high quality of care on this busy, stimulating and rewarding ward.

You will be supported by a team of experienced senior sisters, stroke coordinators, research nurse and specialist intensive care nurses for the very acutely ill patient.

You need to be well organised, approachable and confident to ensure that you are able to meet the daily demands of this diverse ward with both stroke and neurology patients. We are looking for a person who has the experience and ability to deputise for the senior sister and lead the ward team in a calm and confident manner.
