Work Pattern:
Full-time Monday-Friday (35 hours)

About the role

This is a hands-on laboratory role supporting the development and testing of specialist product ingredients across a range of consumer goods.

You will be reporting into the Creative Laboratory Manager and will be preparing samples by blending raw materials into different product bases, ensuring each sample is correctly formulated, labelled and recorded. Along with sample preparation, you will also support product testing, keep laboratory records up to date, manage stock and help send samples to customers.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare samples by accurately blending materials into cosmetics, toiletries, home care and air care products.
  • Ensure samples are correctly formulated, labelled, documented and presented for internal and customer evaluation.
  • Manage deliveries, stock checks and the processing of laboratory materials.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records, stock information an equipment. verification checks ensuring all are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Package and dispatch samples in line with company procedures and Dangerous Goods Transport Regulations.
  • Follow Good laboratory practices (GLP), quality standards and health and safety requirements outlined in your lab.

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and Science.

  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to identify practical solution.
  • Good literacy, numeracy and basic IT skills.
Experience Desirable
  • Previous experience working within a laboratory environment (Full training will be provided)
