Parts Coordinator – Gerber Collision & Glass

Job DescriptionThe Parts Coordinator provides an exceptional customer experience by managing the ordering, receiving, storing, dispatching, and returning of parts. The coordinator ensures parts accuracy and quality, verifies delivery against the production schedule, and maintains part inventory integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Execute the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently.
- Communicate customer requests to appropriate team members.
- Order and receive parts from vendors, confirming quality, correctness, and quantity.
- Distribute parts to the shop in accordance with the production schedule.
- Enter part invoices into the Management Information System (MIS).
- Label and track parts by the repair order number, store them with the vehicle or scheduled repairs, and communicate all parts price changes.
- Order and receive supplemental parts, monitor vendor performance, and reconcile the parts vendor invoice history report.
- Post and file invoices and credit memos in a timely manner.
- Maintain negotiated discounts on vendor invoices to protect profit margins.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1‑3+ years of experience working with automotive parts (auto body parts a bonus).
- Customer‑service oriented with strong organizational skills.
- I‑Car Registered (working toward Gold Class certification).
Skills and Abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Working knowledge of vehicle repair practices.
- Experience with MIS systems such as Summit or Repair Centre.
- Familiarity with Mitchell, Audatex, Car‑part, Progi, APU, LKQ B2B.
- Problem‑solving abilities, computer proficiency, and organizational skills.
- Teamwork and ability to achieve common goals.
- Frequent bending, crouching, reaching, handling tools.
- Ability to lift over 50 lbs of materials.
$16.00 – $20.00 + per hour.
