Pupil Support Assistant; PSA): Wrestling

Position Purpose

PSA will assist in maximizing the learning experience of children with special needs during their participation in Middle School Wrestling.

• Up to 75 hours to support in practices, meets and tournaments.
• Position begins immediately and ends 1/10/2025.
• Can be a shared position.

• Assist Lead Staff in providing behavior reinforcement and managing student's needs while at Wrestling practice, meets and tournaments.
• Assist and support interpersonal skills and activities, daily living needs and social/emotional needs for student.
• Ability to be flexible with schedules.
• Supervising and assisting student during arrival/departure from activities (including bus supervision).

• Must meet one of the following requirements:
• At least two years of qualifying college credits (usually 60 credits in Minnesota) through an accredited institution of higher education, or;
• An associate's or higher degree, with qualifying coursework, or;
• A passing score on a valid and reliable formal assessment.
• Ability to follow program direction as provided by program coordinator.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in weight and support students with activities of daily living.
• Ability to demonstrate prompt, regular and reliable attendance.

• Starting Rate of Pay $19.40 per hour if non-contracted (less than 11 hours per week).
