- Evaluate Dakota County residents’ basic needs, health and well‑being by assessing clients' economic, social, and health‑related issues to determine public assistance program eligibility.
- Conduct phone interviews with residents to assess their needs, gather information, and determine eligibility for programs such as Child Care Assistance, General Assistance, Medicaid, MFIP, MNsure, and SNAP.
- Reassess clients’ needs and eligibility criteria to maintain program participation and ensure their well‑being as required.
- Use MAXIS, MMIS, MNsure, and MEC2 state computer software to analyze information from internal and external customers.
- Provide quality customer service and communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including composing concise case notes.
- Work independently or as part of a team in a remote or hybrid environment while maintaining accuracy and prioritizing tasks.
- Comprehensive knowledge of MAXIS, MMIS, MNsure, MEC2, and other relevant computerized systems.
- Knowledge of income and asset types and their relationship to public assistance program eligibility.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
- Analytical and decision‑making skills, using discretion under stress.
- Proficiency with electronic documents and keyboarding.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to remote or hybrid work environments.
