summaryUnder the supervision of the EIC Lead Technician, performs a variety of troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and maintenance duties on instrumentation and controls associated with the proper operation of coal fired, natural gas fired, and gas turbine electrical generation equipment at NDS 4 & 5, DHPC, and WEC 1&2.
qualificationsA high school diploma or demonstrated equivalent, an associate degree preferred or any combination of experience and course work equivalent to an associate degree in Electronics Technology or Electrical Technology.
SpECial requirements- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Troubleshoots and maintains various instrumentation and control systems for all Electric Production’s electrical generating facilities and associated auxiliary equipment. Identifies and resolves issues with sensors, transmitters, controllers, operating systems, and other associated equipment.
- Performs regular calibration of instrumentation, controls, monitoring equipment, and operating systems.
- Responsible for installation and commissioning of new instrumentation and controls.
- Maintains accurate documentation of calibration results, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Assist Plant Electricians in the installation and maintenance of power plant associated electrical equipment.
- Researches and promotes continuous improvement and advancements in instrumentation and controls technology to improve power plant performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Monitors, troubleshoots, calibrates, and maintains all power plant emissions monitoring system equipment.

Residency RequirementMust live within 30 minutes of duty station, per Google maps, within 6 months of hire.
HOURSThis is a full-time position that typically works Monday thru Friday during the day. However, rotating on call nights/weekends and employee may be called upon to help during emergencies or widespread outages.
