Salary Range: $20.50 - $33.00
Will perform as well as supervise transporting patient/resident services. Ensure transporting services for patients/residents, equipment and other miscellaneous items is conducted in a safe manner following pre-established patient/resident safety guidelines. Transporting patients/residents to and from their beds and other areas such as therapy, surgery, radiology with the use of wheelchairs, stretchers, or moveable beds. Complete maintenance requests and ensure transportation equipment and tools are properly maintained at all times.
Complying with organizational guidelines and policies of health, safety, and security while offering transportation services.
Provide leadership and decision support for patient/resident transport services to ensure efficient workflow. Leads by example when demonstrating bedside manner. Knows the importance of listening with the ability to clarify and apply good communication skills building strong relationships. Must have strong computer, organizational and planning skills. Desire to expand knowledge of organization structure/layout. Demonstration of proper body mechanics is required in providing safe care to our patients/residents and customer service.
Knowledge of infection control procedures.
- High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) equivalent required.
- Minimum of six months transporter experience preferred.
- Registered with the North Dakota Department of Health as a Certified Nursing Aide (where applicable) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six weeks of employment; recertification as required.
