Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Skilled Nursing – Full Time

We are a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing care for seniors in a Christian environment. Our Skilled Rehab and Home Health team at Good Samaritan Grand Island and Hastings is seeking a COTA to join our team.

Salary Range: $24.00 – $38.50 per hour

Job Summary

Assist patients, residents, and clients with therapy activities and exercises scheduled in a treatment plan, under the supervision of an occupational therapist, to improve their quality of life and ability to perform daily activities. Provide, monitor, and record therapy services to individuals with physical, cognitive, developmental, and psychosocial impairments. Select, implement, and modify therapeutic activities consistently with competency levels and client goals.

Contribute to the documentation process and communicate with the occupational therapist regarding patient responses and outcomes. Perform other related duties as requested. Work may focus on post-acute, long term care, and home health environments.

Qualifications
  • Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state(s) of practice
  • National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification preferred (not required)
  • Valid driver’s license (when applicable)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of employment
  • Education level appropriate to state licensure requirements
  • New graduates are welcome
