* Job Description:

** Seeking an individual with a strong understanding of the local healthcare landscape and community health needs. Experience working collaboratively with regional providers, hospitals, and community organizations is preferred.

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is a member of the Hospital Senior Leadership team working collaboratively with the Hospital and Medical Staff to ensure that evidence-based practice standards, protocols, leadership, and direction are in place to ensure provision of the highest quality of patient care. The CMO is also responsible for assessing and enhancing existing medical care standards; providing leadership; collaboration;

and coaching the medical staff in partnership with the operating and executive team members. The CMO will report to and work closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This role will partner with other senior leadership and the Board of Trustees to develop and implement strategies across the organization to meet Mary Lanning Healthcare’ short- and long-term strategic objectives.

Qualifications:

* Education:

Doctoral Degree (MD/DO) required. Master’s degree in a healthcare related field or business administration from an accredited institution preferred.

* Experience:

5 years of clinical experience required. Minimum of 2 years as a physician leader and/or education/training in physician leadership track, including Information Technology course work required.
* Certification:
Nebraska Medical License and Board Certification or Board eligibility in medical specialty of training.
