Overview

Employment Adviser role at Reed in Partnership in Hastings Office. Salary £29,000 to £31,500; full-time role, with consideration for part-time arrangements. Flexible working arrangements vary by role and business requirements.

Who we are

Reed in Partnership’s Employability Division helps individuals who are unemployed or facing challenges to find sustainable employment through tailored support, including one-to-one guidance, CV writing, interview preparation, and skills training.

Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of a caseload of long-term unemployed jobseekers, identify barriers, and create tailored action plans to progress them into employment.
  • Provide personalised, one-to-one guidance including CV writing, interview preparation, and skills development.
  • Meet and exceed performance targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with participants to shift their mindset and build confidence to find and sustain work.
  • Engage with local employers to identify job opportunities.
  • Signpost participants to internal and external stakeholders to address barriers such as health, housing, or financial challenges.
  • Promote the Restart Scheme within the community and communicate its benefits and impact.
  • Provide inclusive support and advice to people from all backgrounds.

Requirements
  • Ability to demonstrate coaching/mentoring experience and persuasion/influencing skills.
  • Experience in a customer-facing environment (e.g., customer services, hospitality, social care, sales).
  • Experience in a fast-paced, performance-target driven environment.
  • Willingness to travel locally.
  • Minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma.
  • GCSE English Language at grade B or equivalent Level 2 qualification; or Level 2 Literacy; or International equivalents.
Desirable
  • Fluency in more than one language.
