SEN Teaching Assistant, Hastings Make a Difference Every Day

At Engage Education, we’ve specialised in recruiting education staff for over a decade, building trusted relationships with schools across Sussex and beyond. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive SEN school in the heart of Hastings, working alongside a both KS1 & KS2 classes.

Experience supporting children with SEND would be highly advantageous, this could be in a professional or personal capacity.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom. You will help children access learning, develop confidence and build positive relationships that enable them to succeed.

The Ideal Applicant Will Be:
  • Experienced working with children, either in a school or similar setting
  • Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development
  • Confident building positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
  • Able to inspire, motivate and encourage children to achieve their best
  • Compassionate, patient and empathetic
  • Comfortable supporting a range of learning needs, including SEND
  • A positive team player who enjoys working collaboratively
