Salary: £27,870 – £31,086 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: CXK Hastings and Field-based
Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 5 days a week
(3 days per week on Pathways for Progression funded by the National Lottery and
Reports to: Area Manager Hastings
Job Purpose:- Recruit, induct and support Youth Leaders and Youth Ambassadors to participate safely and confidently within Youth Working Groups.
- Deliver 121 and group work creatively and effectively with young people, supporting them to be ready to contribute to the Pathways for Progression project.
- Facilitate the development of Youth Working Groups, supporting Youth Leaders to co-design, test and lead project activities with Youth Ambassadors.
- Provide opportunities and support for young people to influence employers, education providers and decision-makers, ensuring their experiences help shape local opportunities and services.
- Manage a caseload of young people, providing consistent one-to-one support throughout their journey to secure education, employment or training.
- Support Youth Leaders to engage with employers, schools, decision-makers and wider stakeholders, building their confidence and ability to influence systems and practice.
- Deliver regular one-to-one supervision, reflective learning sessions and wellbeing check-ins with the Youth Leaders working on the project.
- Deliver ongoing training and development opportunities to build young people’s skills in leadership, facilitation, critical thinking, communication and co-production.
- Deliver information, advice, guidance and mentoring to young people, using coaching and development activities to build confidence, personal and social skills, and employability.
- Ensure all activity is delivered in a trauma-informed, strengths based and inclusive manner, with appropriate support for disadvantaged, neurodivergent and SEND young people.
- Work creatively and in a person-centred way, delivering one-to-one and group support that promotes meaningful youth participation and progression into employment and training.
- Develop proactive relationships with external partners, including employers, to support work-based tasters, visits and other opportunities for CXKs beneficiaries.
- Provide support and work effectively and safely in detached or outreach settings when required
- Contribute to evaluation, learning cycles and continuous improvement activity.
- Maintain and promote compliance with CXK policies, safeguarding procedures and professional boundaries, supporting Youth Leaders and Ambassadors to embed this within their own roles.
- Maintain accurate case records, participant outcomes and evidence in accordance with contract requirements.
- Be responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of CXK beneficiaries, encouraging safe working practices and raising awareness of risk.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time. The duties may be changed and/or varied to meet changing circumstances at the discretion of CXK management.
All appointees will be subject to an enhanced DBS Check.
