East Sussex Academy (ESA) is looking for an exceptional PE Teacherto join our Alternative Provision in Hastings, working with secondary-aged students who need a fresh start.
Why This Role MattersThis isn’t your typical PE role.
You’ll use sport, movement, and teamwork to:
- Re-engage students who may have struggled in mainstream education
- Build confidence, discipline, and self-belief
- Help young people overcome barriers and achieve real success
You’ll be part of a team committed to breaking down obstacles to learning and improving student participation every day.
Location:
Hastings, East Sussex
Salary: £27,785 – £45,352 (UQT3–MPS6)£2,787 SEN allowance
What You’ll Do- Deliver creative, active, and engaging PE lessons
- Adapt learning to meet SEN and individual student needs
- Motivate and inspire students through physical activity
- Track progress and celebrate every win – big and small
- Be a positive role model both in and out of the classroom
