Reports to: Head of Engineering

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30, with planned out-of-hours work, flexible overtime, travel, and participation in the on-call rota.

Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 depending on experience + overtime available as part of an on-call rota.

The Regional Team Lead is a senior field engineering role responsible for delivering exceptional service across the VFAST network while acting as the regional technical lead for engineering activities.

The role combines hands‑on engineering with leadership responsibilities, ensuring installations, maintenance, fault resolution and infrastructure upgrades are delivered safely, consistently and to our engineering standards.

Working closely with the other Engineering Lead, Service Delivery, Projects, Network Engineering and Commercial teams, the Regional Team Lead will provide technical guidance, mentor engineers, maintain quality standards, and help drive continuous improvement across the regional engineering operation.

• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with company standards.

• Carry out regular quality inspections of completed engineering work.
• Ensure installations comply with company build standards, documentation and H&S requirements.
• Identify recurring quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Promote a culture of continual improvement and engineering excellence.
• Support post-installation reviews and lessons learned activities.
• Mentor and coach new and existing engineers.
• Support onboarding of new starters.
• Deliver practical field‑based technical coaching.
• Assist with competency assessments and skills development.
• Promote continuous learning and professional development across the regional team.

• Ensure accurate completion of engineering documentation and job records.
• Support stock control and equipment management.
• Assist in developing and improving engineering processes and working practices.
