Working hours:
Monday - Thursday 7:30 - 4:30 and Friday 7:30 - 1pm 37.5 hours a week.

The RoleYou will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC machinery, producing precision components to exacting standards. You will work across CNC lathes and vertical machining centres, using conversational programming and your experience to optimise production.
Key Responsibilities- Program, set and operate CNC lathes and vertical machining centres, using conversational programming.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings and manufacture a wide range of precision-engineered components to exact specifications.
- Design and manufacture bespoke fixtures to improve machining efficiency, repeatability and quality.
- Work closely with engineering colleagues to optimise workflow, tooling and material availability.
- Operate multiple CNC machines where required, maintaining high standards of quality, productivity and safety.
- Identify opportunities to improve machining processes, efficiency and production performance.
We're looking for an experienced CNC Machinist who can confidently program, set and operate CNC machinery and is comfortable working from detailed engineering drawings.
You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience in CNC machining within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with CNC lathes and/or vertical machining centres.
- Strong engineering drawing interpretation skills.
- Experience with conversational CNC programming.
- A good understanding of tooling, fixtures and machining processes.
- A quality-focused and methodical approach to your work.
- The ability to work independently while also being a supportive team player.

Up to £42,000 depending on experience
