YMCA Downs Link Group is the leading charity for children and young people across Sussex and Surrey, providing safe homes, mental health support and trusted advice. We are looking for Bank Supported Housing Support Workers to join our Hastings Foyer team, which offers medium‑low supported accommodation for up to 47 young people aged 16 to 25 at risk of homelessness, and care‑experienced young people under 18.

• Work pro‑actively and creatively alongside young people, providing support, guidance and signposting around housing, budgeting, living skills, jobs and relationship building.
• Contribute to the smooth and safe running of the services by delivering consistent and reliable support.
• Assume flexible, temporary shifts (day, evening, night, weekends and bank holidays) at short notice, without any annual hours guarantee.
• Assist in maintaining a supportive environment in line with safeguarding policies and the welfare of children and young people.

• Experience working with a similar client group and a good understanding of the key risks, challenges and opportunities for young people.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a service‑oriented mindset.
• Valid DBS check (Enhanced, including the Children’s and Adults’ barred lists) and a willingness to undergo additional reference and background checks.
• Right to work in the UK, with no requirement for work permit or visa sponsorship.
