Sammons Recruitment is seeking a Funeral Operative to join a professional and compassionate team based in Hastings. This essential role plays a vital part in supporting bereaved families during their most difficult times, ensuring funeral services are delivered with dignity, care, and the highest level of professionalism.

• Support funeral ceremonies with discretion, care, and professionalism
• Coffin preparation and presentation
• Carry out pall‑bearing duties and funeral driving
• Respectful removal and preparation of deceased individuals (excluding embalming)
• Clean and maintain funeral vehicles to a high standard
• Undertake additional duties as required by management

• Clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle mandatory
• Physical fitness to carry out lifting duties
• Professional appearance and demeanour
• Excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with bereaved families
• Strong commitment to teamwork and dignity in all interactions
• Non‑smoker during working hours
