Could you make a difference working in the community by visiting people in their homes to improve safety from fire as well as improving well-being and health outcomes? Then this role could be for you. The role will focus on the Safe & Well visit service and will include, carrying out the visits for vulnerable people including those provided with our collaboration with Clinical Commissioning Groups and GP surgeries.
You will provide relevant advice, fit suitable equipment and make referrals to partnership agencies for further interventions to reduce risk and assist clients to live independently in their homes. This can involve assessing other risks within dwellings as well as liaising with external agencies or partners.
The successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of the dangers and consequences of fire, and other safety matters in the home.
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, applicants will possess excellent communication skills with the ability to provide a high standard of client-focused service. Applicants must hold a current UK driving licence and have some knowledge or experience of working with vulnerable groups, or older people, whilst being able to demonstrate tact, patience and courtesy.
