• Certification Requirement: Candidates must provide proof of successful completion of the Act 235 training program.
• Documentation Submission: Candidates must submit a copy of their Act 235 certification along with their employment application.
• Verification Process: Allied Universal will verify the authenticity of the Act 235 certification with the appropriate authorities.
• Compliance: Candidates must maintain compliance with Act 235 requirements throughout their employment with Allied Universal.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors at a government military and veterans services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and/or deliveries in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania only.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
