We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join an established civil contractor, overseeing multiple live and upcoming projects across the UK. This is a predominantly site-based role, with a flexible working pattern focused on supporting projects around Bridgewater, Newcastle, Leeds, and other locations. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring safety compliance and fostering a strong health and safety culture across different environments.
Key Responsibilities- Providing expert health and safety support across multiple construction sites, ensuring compliance with UK legislation.
- Conducting regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
- Supporting incident investigations and implementing corrective measures.
- Liaising with site teams, including subcontractors and suppliers, to promote safe working practices.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
- Valid CSCS card (or willingness to obtain one).
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
- Strong background with projects covering groundworks, reinforced concrete frames, excavations, utilities, demolition and wider civil engineering works
