Finance Manager We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to provide senior financial leadership across our business. This role is pivotal in owning management reporting, financial insight, and planning, translating financial data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. The Finance Business Partner will act as a key business partner to senior stakeholders, driving financial discipline, challenging assumptions, and supporting the delivery of business objectives.

Day-to-day of the role:
Lead the preparation and ownership of monthly management accounts, focusing on accuracy, insight, and value-adding analysis. Provide high-quality financial and non-financial analysis with clear, concise commentary on business and departmental performance. Own balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations, controls, and review. Manage the stock valuation and reconciliation process. Partner closely with senior leaders and budget holders, providing financial challenge and support to improve commercial outcomes.

Actively participate in budgeting, forecasting, and re-forecasting cycles in collaboration with the Finance Manager and senior stakeholders. Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital, providing clear visibility and recommendations. Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and act as a key point of contact for external auditors. Prepare/oversee VAT returns and regulatory submissions (including ONS where applicable). Ensure robust financial controls, processes, and documentation are maintained and improved.

Act as a senior member of the finance team, supporting the Finance Manager with strategic initiatives and ad-hoc projects. Cover for the Finance Manager during annual leave. Required Skills &

Qualifications:

Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), Finalist or QBE. Experience in manufacturing is advantageous. Significant experience in senior management accounting or similar strategic finance roles. Proven experience in owning management accounts, balance sheet integrity, and financial planning. Experience supporting audits, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance. Proactive, confident, and comfortable operating at a senior level. Ability to balance attention to detail with a strategic and big-picture perspective.

Credible, professional, and trusted with sensitive information. Collaborative and pragmatic, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Desirable:
Experience using ERP systems. Skills in financial modelling. Experience mentoring/coaching other members of a finance team.
