Test Analyst

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about testing, has a strong quality mindset, and enjoys getting hand-on to make sure solutions meet business, regulatory, and customer expectations.

You'll play a key role in embedding quality throughout the delivery lifecycle, working closely with developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and third-party partners to identify risks, solve challenges, and deliver robust solutions.

As our Test Analyst, you will:

• Plan, create, and execute functional and non-functional testing activities in line with Affinity Water's testing frameworks and industry best practice
• Develop and maintain Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Scripts to support successful delivery
• Work collaboratively with internal teams, suppliers, and delivery partners to coordinate testing and resolve defects
• Review requirements, identify gaps or ambiguity, and support teams in delivering high-quality solutions
• Manage defects through to resolution, providing clear impact assessments and progress updates
• Capture and report quality metrics, test progress, and Test Completion Reports to key stakeholders
• Ensure testing activities align with governance, controls, and assurance processes
• Support Agile and hybrid delivery approaches, promoting quality at every stage of the development lifecycle
• Apply both shift-left and shift-right testing approaches, identifying risks early and using insights from live systems to drive continuous improvement
• Continue to develop your skills by learning and applying test automation tools
• You'll be a strong communicator who can confidently explain testing challenges, risks, and quality outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

We're looking for someone with:

• Proven experience working as a Test Analyst (4+ years)
• A strong technical background with experience across system testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Experience working within both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments
• Experience using test and defect management tools such as Azure Dev Ops or JIRA
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to see the bigger picture
• Confidence working independently while collaborating effectively within wider delivery teams
• A willingness to learn and work with test automation tools
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• ISTQB Foundation or Intermediate certification (or equivalent experience)

• Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 dependant on skills and experience
