Night Security Duty Controller

We are looking to recruit a night security duty controller to add to our team based at our Head Office in Hatfield. You must hold a valid SIA Licence and a full UK driving licence.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Ensuring client sites are covered at all times
- Providing out of hours support to all staff on sites
- Conduct key holding and mobile patrol duties.
- Attend to any alarm activations.
- Provide emergency site cover.
- Conduct welfare and site visits on a weekly planned schedule.
- Take hourly check calls from lone worker staff.
- Manage and accurately update the rostering system
- Ensure all reports are completed as required.
- Report any issues to the Contracts Managers / Operations Director

Core Requirements:

- Must hold a frontline SIA Licence
- Must hold a full valid UK driving licence
- Must be computer literate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High degree of accuracy
- A excellent understanding of situations, organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads
- An excellent telephone manner
- The ability to work effectively under pressure
- The ability to deal tactfully and effectively with a wide range of people.
- A good knowledge and understanding of the SIA Industry
- Ability to adapt to change
- Dealing with customer enquiries in writing and by telephone
- Working on their own as a lone worker
- Taking ownership
- Able to make decisions and work unsupervised
- Able to deal with escalated client queries, handling unforeseen situations and finding solutions

This position will be following a 4 on 4 off rotation pattern, covering 12 hour shifts. The successful candidate must be able to work using their own initiative as they will primarily be a lone worker. They must also be self-motivated, with the ability to perform effectively when under pressure and a reliable, enthusiastic team member.
A uniform will be provided.
