OO PHP Developer - Hertfordshire - split Hybrid role We are looking to secure a talented OO PHP Developer who understands how the engine works under the hood, not just how to drive it. The role Design and develop robust, scalable applications using native Object-Oriented PHP Architect and optimise complex MySQL databases for high-traffic environments. Write clean, maintainable, and secure code without relying on heavy external frameworks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Experience required Extensive commercial experience with both PHP 7 and PHP 8. Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles.

Proven ability to build features from scratch without framework reliance (e.g., Laravel or Symfony). Excellent MySQL skills, including complex queries, indexing, and schema optimisation. A mindset focused on performance, security, and writing native, efficient code.
